Sector Six Crossover Finale

SectorSixCrossover1

If you don’t like intergalactic secret agents leaping out of explosions to punch space nazis with glowing, powered gauntlets of righteous, high-tech fury, then do not click this image.

Regular readers may be aware that a hand picked selection of my toy soldiers – consisting of Inquisitor Verhoeven, Astropath Patrick O’Blivion and Gunslinger Rosa “Digger” Stone – has been sent across the Atlantic/through warpspace to Sector Six to help out with grave local issues.  A few details of how the narrative driven Flat Stanley-esque project is intended to work, plus links to each of the games in the series can be found here.

That project comes to a close on the Governor General of Sector Six blog today, in a great looking game featuring exploding aircraft, leaping decapitations, spaceship strafing runs, space nazis, genetic infantrymen and of course, three of my toy soldiers mixed in.  I strongly suggest that you take a look, its a pretty unique and inspiring looking game.

Seriously, take a look at this…

Check out Inquisitor Verhoeven in the middle of that. Bad. Ass.

My genuine thanks to Maj. Guiscard, the Governor General of Sector Six himself for making the entire process fun, pleasant and memorable.

Inquisitor/Pulp Alley: Steel Trap

2014-07-26 21.18.23

Being the report of the concluding battle in my portion of a blog narrative team-up with Maj. Guiscard of The Governor General of Sector Six, featuring techno-arcane castles surrounded by jungle, tough guys who put on sunglasses while walking away from explosions, an evil mecha-pooch, daring not-so-escapes, more explosions, strong female leads that get the job done reliably, robot skeletons and cyber-insects.

Inquisitor/Pulp Alley: Beyond the Grave

2014-07-26 16.05.10

The first of two transblog, transatlantic, Flat Stanley crossover AARs today as the Emissaries of Sector Six attempt to locate the missing Inquisitor Verhoeven and determine the source of the Sector Six xenos attack.

Pulp Alley/Inquisitor Multiplayer

Still smarting from his failure to thwart ork Warboss Frangks efforts to release the power of the Ragna Rock, Inquisitor Verhoeven has focussed is considerable resources on determining the greenskins next move.  The Warboss has proven to be a cunning opponent .  The Inquisitor must at the very least keep Frangk contained on Krellborn IX until Imperial military forces can be brought to bear.

A further complication involves ongoing communication exchange with an old ally now posted in Sector Six.  Based  on the Inquisitors previous tussles with the Cerebalite Consortium, intel exchanged both before and after Sub-Ambassador Sulla Tigh came under attack by an obscenely powerful xenos threat seems to indicate signs of manipulation by Tenebrainian Enslavers.  Even more worryingly, the almost unthinkable possibility of Ecclesiarchy collusion now has to be considered.

Ambassador Sophie Blanch-Andres has left Sector Six incognito in order to rendezvous with Verhoeven and her vessel – the KCS Passeraux – now orbits Krellborn IX.  Communications are disrupted by the numerous Perilium deposits exposed by the orks.  Therefore Agent Sophie and her allies have landed near Verhoevens last known location…

—————–

I ran this four player Pulp Alley game a little while ago, but didnt have the opportunity to write it up until now.  The game consisted of four factions taking part in a version of “The Lost Keys” scenario from the rulebook.

As the folks originally planning to take part were each individually hit with different amounts of real life prior to the event and therefore unable to attend, the game with the newly drafted participants was a bit more chaotic than I expected.  Narrative and my ability to document proceedings suffered as a result, which was more of a shame than usual due to it being my first attempt to engage in the Sector Six Crossover games.

Therefore this record is going to consist mainly of some images.  A more involving tale regarding the adventures of Agent Blanch-Andres when she met Inquisitor Verhoeven will follow soon.

Sector Six Crossover

This weeks special guest stars...

This weeks special guest stars…

Sho3box Towers received a sub-space transmission from the Governor General of Sector Six a while back.  The Governor documents a narrative driven, regular series of games on his blog that that I enjoy reading.

Purely for the sake of fun the Governor proposed that we each play a handful of games that key off each other and document them in each of our blogs.  An added element would be a Flat Stanley sort of arrangement that would feature some of my miniatures guest starring in the games featured on the Governors blog and vice versa.  As the Governor is based in the USA and I am based in Ireland it added an extra play-by-mail element that made it sound like an entertainingly different project to get involved in, so I happily agreed.

The Ambassador Blanche-Andres of Sector Six, incognito.

The Governor set the scene with a little foreshadowing in his Secret War II: The Trap post and set things in full interstellar motion in Secret War III: Missed Rendezvous.  Those developments led to regular Sector Six protagonist Ambassador Sophie Blanche-Andres shedding her formal diplomatic attire for her less familiar black ops wardrobe.  The Ambassador then made the long interstellar journey from Sector Six to the last known location of Ordo Xenos Inquisitor Vladimir Verhoeven, the jungles of Krellborn IX

Batrep to follow.

EDIT: The three games played as my part of this project are:

The final game, taking place over at the Governor General of Sector Six blog is:
